HOW IS PUZHA?
We described you that at the end of February Puzha woke up because of thaw, which flooded the den. Small female was wondering close to it for several days and was trying to lay close to it. But then she came to the old den where is still wintering.
Brown bears leave their dens depending on the weather: in the end of March – beginning of April, when the first greeneries is growing in forests and swamps. Female bears with bear cubs leave the den later than males.
In our region the fight between winter and summer is going on. Two days ago it was sunny and practically all snow smell down. But today it was a snowfall and the ground is again white, and the temperature at nights is periodically minus zero. And such weather is about 3 weeks here.

And Puzha behaves at this period as her wild relatives in the nature – she is still in the den, appearing at its entrance from time to time, but not leaving it.
Two days ago it was wonderful sunny weather and Puzha appeared several times.
Yesterday and today we did not see her. Today the young bear appeared for few minutes and again hided in the den, after what af it snowed.
Once Puzha will leave the den in accordance with the "bearish schedule' and will start search for food and, will find as well our "presents", which we delivered to the enclosure unnoticed by her.
We understand your concerns about Puzha. As soon as we have the time, we will definitely prepare video for YOU, how Puzha hibernated, who visited her in the winter, and how she came out of the den.
