A disaster in one more bear family – 2 cubs became orphan
On Monday, we received information about two more orphaned cubs, now from the Novgorod region.
According to people who found the cubs, while walking through the forest, they heard the voices of animals and found a den, abandoned by a bear. The den was a little flooded with water, and there were two cubs in it. How many cubs spent time in the den without a bear, we do not know.

As expected, this case was reported to the Committee of the Novgorod Region, after which the necessary documents were issued, and the State Inspector for Environmental Protection of the Novgorod Region handed us the cubs.
The Novgorod region is close to Tver region, and our way was only 450 km. But taking into account the condition of the roads, it took 10 hours to pick up the cubs and deliver them to the Center.

Teddy bears are male and female, about 3 weeks. The brother weighs 1.2 kg, the sister - 1 kg. The condition of the male causes serious concern - signs of pneumonia. Therefore, we immediately began the treatment prescribed by the veterinarians - specialists in wild animals from Wildlife Hospital, thanks to which we managed to save Kuzya's life and prevent the further development of the disease in the other three cubs - Karel, Vesta and Venya.
