Puzha - the 18th orphaned bear cub
A new member of our Baby Bear Team-2020 was delivered to the Center at the end of May – another tragedy in the bear family, one more orphaned bear cub…. Now from the Komi Republic.
The real story of the cub no one knows. The Ministry of the Natural Resources of the Komi Republic stated that in the mid of May the cub came out to the country house near Syktyvkar. The owner of the house called to the Ministry and the officials caught the cub and delivered to OBRC.
The examination of the bear cub did not reveal any problems with the health. But the small female had a very low weight – only 4 kg, while the other cubs weight more than 10 kg. That's why we provide the cub with a nutritious food. We named the cub Puzha.

The little bear became orphan already after leaving the den with the mother, that's why she is wild enough. Based on our long-term experience it is known that at this age the cubs could accept difficulty newcomers. But we decided to try to join Puzha with the cubs from the Younger Group.
Unfortunately they did not accept each other – Karel and Kuzya, Moisey, Nelushka, lala, Lyoha and Mirnyi are keeping the distance, rare coming to the place, where Puzha is located.
As for Puzha – she is eating at "her territory", or hiding on the trees. Hopefully the cub has a good appetite, and while being in OBRC, she is growing actively.
