TVER ORPHAN UMKA
April 1 we brought another bear cub, who got into trouble at such a young age, now from our native region - Tverskaya. According to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Tver Region, "On April 1, the Ministry received information about a bear cub, about three months old, near the village of Kiverichi, Rameshkovsky Municipal District. The bear cub was alone, exhausted and scared. Unfortunately, the fate of mother bear is unknown. The specialists of the Ministry of Natural Resources organized an operation to rescue the "homeless baby bear": the necessary documents were prepared, and he was delivered to the "Orphan Bear Rescue Center".
The bear cub was named Umka. Upon arrival at the Center, we carefully examined the bear cub. Unfortunately, Umka was exhausted, and we were forced to begin immediately supportive therapy in accordance with the recommendations of Wild Nature Hospital', with whom we are constantly in touch regarding the health of all seven bear cubs. Umka is stoical about the necessary injections, and today he is already more stable and eats better. But still, Umka's condition raises serious concerns.
